Contact us
Email hello@soorah.app for any question about Soorah — a purchase that did not unlock, a problem with recitation audio, a mistake in the Quran text, an accessibility barrier, or a request to delete information.
One person builds and answers Soorah, so replies usually take a day or two. Please say which device you use and which surah you were on; that is normally enough to reproduce a problem without any account or personal details.
There is no account to create and no sign-in, so we cannot look up your progress from our side. Everything Soorah stores stays on your device.
Which surahs are free
Nine surahs are free to practise with no time limit and no trial period: Al-Qadr, Al-Asr, Quraysh, Al-Kawthar, Al-Kafirun, An-Nasr, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas.
Full practice is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks the remaining surahs of Juz Amma for every profile on that device. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. Open Settings, then App access, to see what a device has unlocked.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall Soorah, change device, or the surahs appear locked again, open Settings, then App access, and choose Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account or Google account that made the original purchase.
A restored unlock applies to every local profile on that device, exactly as the original purchase did. If Restore purchases does not bring the unlock back, email hello@soorah.app with the store you bought it from and we will help.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us, because the payment is taken by the store. See the terms of use for the store links.
Recitation audio and offline use
Recitation audio streams by default and can be downloaded for offline listening, so a surah keeps working without a connection. If audio will not play, check that the device is not on silent, then try downloading the surah again.
Quran text and recitation audio are provided by Quran Foundation. If you believe a verse or a recitation is wrong, email hello@soorah.app with the surah and ayah number so we can check it against the source and report it upstream.
Profiles and progress
Each profile keeps its own marks and practice history on the device, so adults and children can memorise side by side without overwriting each other. You decide when an ayah is memorised; nothing is graded or scored automatically.
Because profiles are stored only on the device, deleting the app deletes them. There is no cloud backup and no way for us to recover a profile after the app is removed. See the privacy policy for what is stored and how to delete it.
